As a small local business, we enjoy getting involved in the community. We (Denise and Erik Stone) took ownership of the travel agency in early 2008. At that time, we were already involved with three of the local elementary schools through the Austin ISD Partners in Education program (PIE). PIE is a program developed to increase local business involvement in support of area schools. It includes not only monetary donations but also donations of time for various programs to support the ever increasing needs at our public schools. At the time of this transition, I (Denise) was the PIE coordinator at my daughter's elementary school. Upon taking over Best Cruise Buy, we extended that participation to our new business, Best Cruise Buy & Sensational Vacations.

Today, I am no longer actively involved in the coordination of these programs but Best Cruise Buy and Sensational Vacations continues to offer a portion of our commission to the PIE program for every reservation made by a parent, staff member or family of the following Austin ISD schools in Austin, TX: Clayton Elementary, Kiker Elementary, Mills Elementary, Gorzycki Middle School and Bowie High School. Just mention this program when you make travel arrangements with us.

In October 2012, I attended a fundraising event for a non-profit organization I had recently become aware of.... HEAL IN COMFORT 4 a CHANGE. This organization provides post-operative Heal in Comfort Shirts® designed to enable patients who have had upper-body surgeries such as breast cancer mastectomies or heart and organ transplants to recover in comfort and dignity.

Just a few tears were shed during that event and we were moved by meeting and hearing the stories of many women that had been through the very difficult ordeal of breast cancer. This event inspired us to try to take a larger role in fundraising for this organization. We have decided to donate 10% of our commissions on new travel arrangements made through Best Cruise Buy and Sensational Vacations between October 2012 and the next event in October 2013. Just mention this organization when you contact us about a new reservation that will occur prior to October 2013 and we will give back a portion of our commission to this great cause!
