OCHO RIOSThe name Ocho Rios means eight rivers, but the one word to describe Jamaica is paradise. DUNN'S RIVER FALLSVisit the famed Dunn's River Falls, with its sparkling clear waters cascading 600 feet down a giant rocky staircase into the Caribbean Sea. Take part in the fun tradition of holding hands and climbing up the slippery waterfall. You can kayak to it, sail to it, or even take a fun four-wheel-drive safari to it. Along the safari route, you'll pass through the renowned Fern Gully and ascend to Murphy Hill, 2,000 feet above sea level.
SUIT UP, LOTION UP, SADDLE UPRide a bamboo raft down the winding Martha Brae River, or kayak from the Laughing Waters Lagoon to James Bond Beach and Roaring River Falls. You can also take a cooling and cool! river tubing safari down the White River, where you'll see everything from the landmark Spanish Bridge to agricultural plantations and sumptuous tropical surroundings.
And there's plenty of ways to enjoy the turquoise ocean, from a semi-submarine adventure along the many reefs, to snorkeling the nooks and crannies of coral gardens, to soaking up the rays and breezes aboard relaxing catamaran and trimaran outings. For a thrill you've never experienced, try horseback riding at Chukka Cove Beach, where you can mosey from the white sands right into the calm Caribbean Sea.
